Tayyeb Haj Rezaei :

Tayyeb Haj Rezaei, son of Hossein Ali, born in 1901 was a fruit dealer in the Tehran vegetable square and was among the famous dealers of the years 1941 to 1945. Though he was involved in street clashes and quarrels on various occasions and had been imprisoned, there were lights and tokens of faith and divine teachings inside him which as a result of spiritual transformation, he joined the islamic movement and became one of those who combated in the cause of emam Khomeini and was finally martyred. In Iran of preceding years and even past centuries, the love for Islam and particularly for Emam Hossein was mixed with the blood of the people and they do not lose this love easily or cheaply. During the shah regime it also held true and even those who did not have apparent good conducts and ethics, considered crying for the Emam a principle in their life. The late Tayyeb was also among this group. He had the light of emam Hossein in his heart and it was his honor to serve in the Hosseiniehs and Tekyehs and used to stage wide ceremonies and mournings during the Moharram by inviting distinguished speakers and scholars to deliver speeches. He even had contacts with the scholars and the clergymen and in the reports of the Savak, it was mentioned that he frequented the residence of Ayatollah Kashani. During the 15th Khordad 1963, martyr Tayyeb was known to be one of the main stimulators and the Shah, aiming to divert the current of the popular movement from the religion and Islam,tried to show and pretend that this movement was a disorderly riot and void of religion and Islam and further tried to make it seem a riot based on material goals and incentives and for the same reason, he ordered for arrest of Tayyeb and imprisoned him. To let him free, shah stipulated that if he admitted to have received sums from Khomeini to stage the riots, he would be freed. But, Tayyeb did not accept this condition and finally on the dilemma of life and death accepted and embraced martyrdom and honorable death ; he had on several occasions told his friends that he did not accept to taint or smear the clean records of a clergyman for some more days of living. Finally, martyr Tayyeb Haj Rezaei and his combatant friend, Haj Esmaeil Rezaei , his colleague in the Aminolsoltan vegetable square, were sentenced to death and the sentence was put into effect on 02/11/1963. These two dear martyrs were transferred to Shahr-e- Rey and shahid Tayyeb was buried in the eastern side of the Sahne Mosalla and shahid Haj Esmaeil Rezaei was buried in the veranda (portico) of Martyr Haj Rezaei .
